Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
We work with a specially tailored EYFS curriculum, working towards approved learning goals.

Key person system
Although all educators will care and look after all the children, each educator will have particular responsibility for a number of children.
Each child will also have a buddy for when their key person is not available.

Special Educational Needs & Disabilities
Special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) in the early years is of paramount importance. We ensure early action is taken to identify and support with SEND and/or emerging needs.

Achieving Millie’s Mark is no easy task, requiring a great deal of dedication, focus and hard work from all educators . Gaining the standard means:
Bullet points
Raising standards in paediatric first aid
Increasing numbers of first aid trained educators.
Increasing competency in applying first aid.
Enabling educators to respond quickly in emergencies.
Raising the quality and skills of the early year’s workforce and helping them with day to day first aid issues, such as allergies
And providing reassurance to parents.

The Millie’s Mark panel assessed the portfolio submitted by Bottesford Bunnies Pre School using the following:

  • Evidence of needs assessment for setting educators.
  • Evidence that all educators hold an appropriate in date PFA (full or emergency) certificate.
  • Evidence of classroom based training for one day courses.

We will work to keep these crucial skills in the forefront of the educators minds , so that they are competent and ready to act in an emergency situation .
